Transferring an ISA to or from Kent Reliance
All 5 of Kent Reliance's adult Cash ISAs accept transfers in from other providers.
How to move an ISA to Kent Reliance
- For customers on its new Online Services, Kent Reliance accepts an ISA transfer in if the other provider is registered with Pay.UK to send ISA transfers, and suggests asking that provider.
- The details of the existing ISA can be given during the online application, or after the account is open by logging in to Online Services.
- The Easy Access Cash ISA takes all or part of a Cash ISA from another Pay.UK registered provider.
- On the 1 Year Fixed Rate ISA, a partial transfer out must not reduce the balance below the £1,000 minimum account balance.
- On the 1 Year Fixed Rate ISA, the term starts from the initial deposit or, if earlier, from the date Kent Reliance activates the account to receive a transfer.
How long a transfer takes
On the Easy Access Cash ISA, Kent Reliance sends the money and information to the new provider within 5 working days of receiving that provider's transfer request. gov.uk says ISA transfers should take no longer than 15 working days between Cash ISAs, and 30 calendar days for other types of transfer.
Moving an ISA away from Kent Reliance
Kent Reliance can only send funds by Electronic Transfer, and all or part of the money in an ISA can be transferred to another provider. Transferring a 1, 2 or 3 year fixed rate ISA after the 14 day cancellation period and before the term ends carries a charge of 90, 180 or 270 days' loss of interest. The charge is deducted from the balance on the date of the transfer, so the amount received back may be less than the amount paid in. You can move a Cash ISA from Kent Reliance to another provider at any time. Ask the new provider to arrange the transfer: if you take the money out yourself, it leaves the ISA and paying it in again uses your allowance. A fixed rate ISA usually charges for leaving before the end of its term. See how ISA transfers work.
Transfer details checked on Kent Reliance's own website on 9 October 2026.
Is the Kent Reliance ISA flexible?
4 of Kent Reliance's 5 adult Cash ISAs are flexible: Three Year Fixed Rate Cash ISA (Issue 6), Two Year Fixed Rate Cash ISA (Issue 6), One Year Fixed Rate Cash ISA (Issue 7) and Easy Access Cash ISA (Issue 2). With a flexible ISA you can take money out and put it back in the same tax year without using more of your allowance.
